I haven't been here before...

The planks that act as a porch creak under my foot as I cross from the front door of the house towards the still lake. I cannot see my reflection in the water and I don't feel like getting too near it anyway. I don't know who built this place, but I approve of it anyway and send my congratulations out into the salty wind blowing from the sea. Inside the building, there is no obvious signs of recent activity so I might be able to stay here instead of buying a house some place next. I stare out into the flat, motionless stretch of water and shut down completely.
